Attached spas add a lot to a backyard and a lot of plumbing under the deck. The line that fills the spa (and on many setups, feeds the spillover into the pool) runs alongside the other pool lines, often beneath stone, pavers or decorative coping that's expensive to disturb. Pipepoxy by The Leak Geeks repairs leaking spa fill lines from the inside with epoxy lining, so there's no demolition around your spa.

Signs Your Spa Fill Line Is Leaking

  • The pool loses water mainly when the system is set to spa or spillover mode
  • The spa takes longer to fill, or the spillover is weaker than it used to be
  • Damp areas or settling near the spa or along the pipe run to the equipment
  • Overall water loss that other line tests haven't explained

Pool/spa combos often have several valves and lines, so the first job is finding out exactly which one is leaking.

Testing the Spa Lines Separately

Pipepoxy is a division of The Leak Geeks, a Leaktronics-certified leak detection company. We isolate the spa fill line from the spa returns, pool returns and suction lines and pressure test it on its own. For a complete investigation, see The Leak Geeks' pool leak detection.

The Pipepoxy Repair

  1. Blow out and dry. We clear standing water from the line and dry the inside of the pipe.
  2. Sand and clean. A specialized sanding disk cleans the pipe wall to create a good bonding surface.
  3. Apply Pipepoxy. Our epoxy mixture is precisely measured and applied to coat the inside of the pipe and seal the leak.
  4. Verify and cure. We pressurize the line with air to confirm the leak is sealed, then let the epoxy cure.

Your spa surround stays exactly as it is, there's no draining, and most repairs are finished the same day.

Combo Pools Around Lake Murray and Lexington

Raised and attached spas are common on newer pools in Lexington, Chapin and around Lake Murray, often with stacked stone or travertine that would be hard to match after a cut-and-patch repair. Repairing the line from the inside avoids that problem entirely.

If Lining Isn't the Answer

If a spa line is crushed, collapsed or separated at a fitting that lining can't reach, we'll tell you and lay out the alternatives, including conventional repair through The Leak Geeks.
